Is Christ your Wonderful Counselor, your Mighty God, your Everlasting Father, your Prince of Peace? Have you been convicted to obey God’s Word and live a life of righteousness?
Let’s take a look at today’s Advent Reading:
Luke 3:23a, 38b
Jesus, when he began his ministry, was about thirty years of age, being the son (as was supposed) of Joseph,…the son of Adam, the son of God.
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives
and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty those who are oppressed,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
He was despised and rejected by men,
a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief;
and as one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him.
